Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms are an agreement between you and Calibrate IQ ("we", "us"), the provider of Calibrate (the "Service"), an app for recording how confident you are in each practice exam answer, grading those answers afterwards, and analysing what that says about your knowledge. Trading name: Calibrate. Legal/business name: Calibrate IQ.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter this agreement, and if you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.
3. Your account
You must give accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own study within the plan you have selected. You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam or abuse;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property rights, including uploading or storing copyrighted question banks or exam material you have no right to use;
- interfere with or compromise the security or integrity of the Service, including introducing malware, probing or scanning it, or scraping it by automated means;
- reverse engineer, resell, redistribute or sublicense the Service, or circumvent plan or technical limits;
- share your account with others to avoid paying for additional accounts.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the tags, notes and study records you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host, store and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service for you, including generating your scores and feedback.
6. Our intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, scoring and analysis methods, design, documentation and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
7. Study guidance, not professional advice
Calibrate produces statistical and AI-generated study feedback based on the data you enter. It is for general study purposes only, may be inaccurate or incomplete, is not medical, professional or academic advice, and is not a prediction or guarantee of any exam result. Always exercise your own judgement and verify important information.
8. Service level
We aim to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features over time. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Subscriptions, payment and tax
Paid plans are sold on a subscription basis with the term, price and any free trial shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from within the app, after which access continues until the end of the paid period.
Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle and are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Our own Refund Policy also applies.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. Where practical we will warn you first. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your study data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities or exam outcomes. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from content you store in the Service, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
13. General
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have locally.
